"If we go back, we'll miss London. And if we're staying here, we'll still miss Italy." la legge del contrappasso of every Italian migrant! Great answers, thanks for the interview :)
What else matched your experience going from Italy to the UK? And should you be the next person I interview? Because I'm totally loving your substack and we would probably have a hilarious and super interesting conversation.
:O a proposal?! I am honored!! I also ignored the stars and overbooked myself with things for the next few months so I'm temporarily team-overwhelmed and I don't think I have the mental capacity to contribute. But I do have something-something I'd like to discuss with you too, so, shall we raincheck?
The bank account thing is something I keep hearing from so many people. Not so much about how easy it was in the UK, but about how hard it is everywhere else.
Great to get such an insight into the lives of Italians who have migrated to London and what the city is like for them! The British pub culture is definitely not for everyone, I can empathize! What a great idea to move to a city that's attractive for friends and family to visit, makes it easy to see lots of friends and family simply by having a spare room for them to stay in.

This is so true, right? If we leave a place we love, we don't stop loving it when we leave. I'm glad you enjoyed the conversation.
100% agree with how easy it is to open a bank account in the UK!! I still have mine open, and I barely recall going to the bank!
(sorry, had to come back here because some of the things Valentina said were so true!!)

Raincheck. DM me your something-something. I'm intrigued.

And I love that her friends and family actually came. And visited.
Yeah for sure. Something that a lot of people say they're going to do and never do!
